It is not an easy feat for any company to successfully stay in business for over forty years; yet Maryland Materials, Inc. has done just that. How? By respecting our community, our neighbors, our employees, and our environment.

Our objective in all of our community programs is not simply to appease the community by making donations. We want our actions to convey the sentiment that we truly care about our neighbors, our community, and our youth.

It all started with giving neighbors that live within one mile of our facility free stone for their driveways. We use these requests to get to know our neighbors and develop friendships over time.

 We also have quarterly neighborhood meetings. We invite those neighbors that show an interest to evening meetings where we explain our latest projects, discuss  large jobs for which we are supplying material, and have pies, coffee and sodas. This has developed into a friendly get together and we enjoy hearing about our neighbors recent activities.

Other activities include the support of many local softball, bowling, and little league teams. We are also active in the local Chamber of Commerce and contractor associations. We donate to the community college theatre program and their building fund. The company also awards a scholarship to students at the local community college. 

We are committed to helping our neighbors and our community.
